What ports are used by this software and is there any documentation noting this?

Unfortunately, it's impossible to see what are the ports used by the Advanced Presentation Framework. The simplest way to check that is with the help of the netstat command.
For example, go to Start and type CMD then right click on the Command Prompt result (while the Advanced Presentation Framework is running) and then type netstat -b. Enlarge the window so you can see everything. The command will display all the processes that have made a connection. Next to IP you'll see the port.
